It appears that I might have posted some incorrect information...
When I was testing the games, after I ran Route 66, every time I tried to play the original game, it kept coming up with the Route 66 levels and no demo. I compared all the files to a fresh copy and some of them had been altered ...

Re: Redneck Rampage Family Reunion ISO questions
One other bit of info;
The mouselook in Build Engine games is kind of clunky. It's filtered so that only one axis of the mouse registers at any given time. To fix this, one person wrote a better mouse driver, called BMouse, which you can get here;

Re: Redneck Rampage Family Reunion ISO questions
It was a fan-made version so whatever modifications were made to DOSBox to get the game to run, they are not "official".
OK. I thought maybe it was a copy of the version that GOG (Good Old Games) is selling. I've heard that their DOS games usually come configured with DOSBox. I find it amusing ...

Redneck Rampage Family Reunion ISO questions
I downloaded this and it works fine, but I discovered something interesting;
If you just use the normal BAT files, the intro movies don't play. However if you delete the "-nogui" parameter from the BAT files, then the movies play.
Just for the hell of it, I tried pointing the BAT files to my ...

Possible virus/trojan in MDK ISO
I just downloaded the ISO of MDK and after unpacking the Rar files, I have a CUE file, an ECM file, a 3dslxecm.exe file which matches unecm.exe found elsewhere on the net and a file named unpack.exe, which my virus scanner identifies as "W32/KillAV.FN". I also submitted this file to the online virus ...

Why double-pack games?
I'm just curious, but what is the rationale behind double-packing game files?
A couple games that I've downloaded have unpacked to an ECM file, which then must be unpacked using Unecm.exe (included in the archive). One set of Rar files unpacked to a second set of Rar files.
Is there some reason to ...

No sound in Carnivores
I just downloaded Carnivores and the main menu had sound the first time I ran it, but as soon as I went into the game, it started to repeat, like a wheel going around, hitting something on each revolution. I quit the game then reloaded and it hasn't had sound since. I even rebooted and still nothing ...

"ISO" demos that qualify as rips...
I've noticed that a few games on here are listed as "ISO Demo", but then it says that the music tracks were omitted. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the whole point of an ISO file that you get a copy of everything that was on the original disc? I mean if the music tracks are omitted, how is that ...
