Re: Stargate Resistance v1.0.9.1 part6 Topic is solved

Cool :)

I played around a bit with both Resistance and Worlds. While they're clearly alpha's, it's nice to finally be able to walk around StarGate-themed maps in 3D.

At least, until Stargate-Network produces something playable. It looks awesome already, on Unreal Engine 4. :)

Stargate Resistance v1.0.9.1 part6 Topic is solved

Stargate Resistance v1.0.9.1, unfortunately part6 seems missing...

On a side note, I found the game via http://stargateresistance.us/forum/general-discussion/sgr-downloads-and-instructions/
Requires registration, but OH BOY, Stargate maps with community-powered multiplayer modes still functional ...

Re: Prince of Persia The Two Thrones is censored???

Wow, very nice work on this game! I recall playing PoP:Warrior Within, being disappointed when I found the toned-down gore. I then compared the DVD and CD releases on a pretty basic level.

Perhaps a bit offtopic, but this is what I found back in 2008: The game's VIDEO folder consists of the ...

Nice, I didn't know the EXO DOS Collection was archived on archive.org.
It's 1.6 though, where (AFAIK) the current version would be 2.0

Re: Explanation: Presence of select 2D fighter games on AL

Yeah, losing focus is a big concern. I think the best course for now would be to try and define the genres and stick to them. And the "honorable mentions" could be used to cover the gray area surrounding the genre.

What's the definition of an adventure game anyway? According to Wikipedia :
An ...

Re: Explanation: Presence of select 2D fighter games on AL

And THAT's why the commonly known 'genres' fail in today's world. It makes much more sense to dive deeper into the game mechanics, and describe them with tags. With the sheer number of games out there, it'll be easier to find ones matching your exact taste too that way. :)

Re: Killing cartoonists won't bring people to your cause.

I always believe things are much clearer when people look beyond religion, race, gender and ethnicity, and just go about judging individuals' actions. As long as someone doesn't set out to hurt anyone, they're just fine in my book.

In the case of Hebdo, while the attackers were clearly doing ...

Would like to be able to make sense of all that information. Perhaps I will, in about 10 years. :)

Re: 16-bit Installer Doesn't Work on Windows 7 x86

So you tweaked Windows to not create the 8.3 filenames for performance reasons, and had to re-enable it? As far as I know it by default creates these legacy filenames...
Also, the default C:\SKYTG entry would fall within the 8.3 guidelines in itself.

Re: Download script will trigger popup page now.

Problem is that 4shared subfolders also don't seem to work in the iframe. Having to tinker with the script every time a host changes the code would be a bit troublesome?

Re: 16-bit Installer Doesn't Work on Windows 7 x86

Hm, doesn't seems to be working. I recall I have to install it directly from the installer to get the game's .exe working.

I suppose I have to go back to the ye olde M2 emulated version then. Otherwise I have to install it on my other PC then moving the .exe only ...
