Hello everybody,

I'd like to play this game which reminds me of my childhood. It's called "Artus contre le démon du musée" (Artus against the museum's demon) in French version.

The problem is that it doesn't work. In fact, when I click on the link to download the game, a window opens then I have "4shared" which says that the link is unavailable :

How can I find a solution please ?

(And not the old, broken one)
Also check whether you are logged in your 4shared account.

You need to have the 5 parts of the archive in the same folder. Then extract Artus.rar.part1, the other parts will automatically follow.
Once you get the disc image (ARTUS.img/ccd/cue), you need a software like Daemon Tools or MagicDisc to mount it in a virtual drive.
Alternatively you can burn the files on a CD.
If you choose to use a virtual drive like Daemon Tools, you need to select either ARTUS.img or ARTUS.cue as a file to load in the drive.

i've downloaded the game with Deamon Tool, burned the files on a CD like this :



but when i launch the game by cliking on AUTORUN, it says that i must insert a CD of ARTUS if I wanna play, what should i do ?

Run Installation directly instead of going through the Autorun. After the installation is complete, you can launch the game.
You might get a message asking for the CD, but if you click Annuler you will be able to play the game anyway.

As far as I remember, the same error message was also present when I played from the original CD. I can say I spent a loooot of time on this game as a child too! For some reason Arcimboldo's painting of Winter terrified me. But Artus' voice is so cute it was worth playing it.

But about the message asking for the CD, I only can click on "OK"

And by the way, do I need an ISO burner ?

My mistake, I meant the "Close" button. Well, the red button. Well, "la petite croix rouge", I don't really know how else to call it
Sometimes it's the close button that works, sometimes it's the Cancel button. Sometimes you have to click the close button only once, sometimes three times. It's rather like witchcraft.
Once you close the error window, the game plays fine. I'm playing it from a virtual drive on Win 8.1 x64.
Indeed, I did play it in French. I don't think there was any localised version for such a small production.

You need an ISO burner only if you want to burn the ISO to a "real" CD. If you want to play the game from the CD image you downloaded, no need for an ISO burner but you'll have to keep Daemon Tools or similar in order to have a working virtual drive.

Glad at least one person got it running! The game is really enjoyable if you can bear with the cliché-as-hell accents they put on foreign painters (like Vinci saying "Ma, ze n'y haliveulai jamé"). One last thing, if you change the compatibility settings to run the game in 640x480 resolution, it plays fullscreen in 16:9 aspect ratio with no problems.
