An update for the widescreen fix for Max Payne was released yesterday. I replaced all of the old files with the new ones, expecting it to work just like the old version but whenever i start the game, it crashes with the "requires DirectX8" message. Changing the settings didn't do anything and the tests in dxdiag are successful. The game worked flawlessly in the old version. So, either tell me a solution to this problem or give me a download link for the old version (the one before the latest update).

Here's one of the old versions. Ye can always search for the fix at YouTube, scouring video descriptions ('cause others might have been backing up as well ). Never switched Payne to widescreen myself so can't troubleshoot yeh, sorry
