Suggestions/fixes/clarifications/ideas/additions - mr.editor

Postby mr.editor » Sat Jun 29, 2013 8:58 pm

I'm still learning ropes of what to post where in this forum, so I'm sorry if I shouldn't make a new topic.

1. game entry sug for Shooter legends:
Knight Rider: The Game
http://www.mobygames.com/game/knight-rider-the-game
you already have the it's sequle. The car combat gameplay was identical, if I recall correctly.

2. game entry sug for ADV legends:
Airline 69 II – Krasser´s Revenge
http://www.gamershell.com/search/?q=airline69
I'm not sure it was released in English, but German and Russiam should exist.

3. Some Vietnam War are not listed under Historical tag:
ShellShock 2: Blood Trails (2009)
ShellShock: Nam '67 (2004)
Men Of Valor: Vietnam (2004)
NAM (Napalm) (1998)

Additional idea, which probably don't work out, but I throw it out there - I'd personally prefer that WWII as very crowded sub-genre would stand separately from other historical shooters.

Yes, it was released in English:
http://web.archive.org/web/200510272233 ... =773010885
http://xoxo.cz/gamezone/airline69/

English demo is available here: http://www.gamershell.com/download_8469.shtml

In German, Russian, Polish, maybe even Italian, like the first part... For the most perverted ones among Europeans...

Yes you can make a new post in this section or again in this thread for your new suggestions.
1. I looked into the first Knight Rider game before but couldn't find any indication whether there was combat or not so some evidence is needed.
2. We'll add it on next adventure update. :thanks:
3. I added these now to genre list. I'll keep your suggestion to separate WWII in another list but no guarantees it will be done anytime soon.

I also have a suggestion to add a game Jailbreak, BUT I don't even know is it adventure or action. Based on the only video i've been able to find (few sec of gameplay in Summerbatch trailer), I'd say it's more of an action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYQYFdTJDWg
It was released with Summerbatch 2012 vol1, pay-what-you-want indie collection by Screen 7. Batch had 4 other (adventure)games in it: Nancy: The Happy Whore, Barely Floating, PISS, Patchwork, and those are already listed in AL.

Developer website have info about Jailbreak, any tangible info is hard to find. It's unavailable, but by listing it here maybe it will surface in 2years. :) I'm interested.

My next idea. Maybe it should be a topic in User Uploads, but as it's not about full game, then discussion here before.
Long before Daedalic took over, Marco Hüllen's "The Whispered Wor[l]d" (originally his Graphic Designer diploma project in Rhein-Sieg-Akademie) was backed by bad brain entertainment. Not many know it, but back in 2005 it also got a small demo, featuring different character models, slightly different puzzles etc. Most of websites that hosted it at all, have dropped it. Imo this wonderful adventure is worth remembering in any form.
Should I upload this old demo (English and German text, no voice acting)? I see that there are other old alphas/betas/prototypes/demos of unreleased games (Project Joe, Immanis), then I can't see why not.

If it's different to those that are available from such sites as AG.ru or GamersHell (for example), then it's ok. BTW, does anyone have alpha/beta of Larry Reloaded, which was available to those who pledged more than $75 on Kickstarter? It's very different to the final version.

That was the Alpha demo link at Clubic which they changed the url to, so I fixed it now. Thanks though.

Nope, not really. Clubic version is only in German and has voice acting. This version is different.
As far as I make out, TWW got 6 demos. 3 of those are listed in AL. There is also Russian ver listed in ag.ru. And another German version from 2005, sizeing 77.5MB.
My uploaded demo has English and German selection. It has text only, no voice.
As GigaWatt suggested, I uploaded it. I take the topic to User Game Uploads.

Playable projects that are within genre and year rules are welcome.
Demos generally are accepted for games that have no full download, or were not released, also when demo differs significantly from the final version.
There is a practice to keep preview and developer builds too.
My gratitude goes to all contributors.

Seems to be missing from AL:

Sinbad - In Search of Magic Ginger
551.20 MB, Adventure
Dev: Dereza Production Studio
Publisher:Game Factory Interactive

http://www.adventuregamers.com/games/view/16652
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-SINBAD/sin ... gic-ginger
http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-ga ... index.html

English release around summer 2011, so I guess uploadable in a year.

Also, according to adventuregamers.com, same dev made Mary in the Woods.
http://www.adventuregamers.com/games/view/16654
Anyone know something about that? Released?
