I have my New PC !

i just wanted to ask if i can play actual games with it (cuz now i just dont have the experience cause its new maybe some of you has a system thats almost equal to mine ) when i buy a better graphics card ( Geforce 8600 GT or Radeon x1950PRO )

Dual Core 1.8 GHZ
2048MB DDR2 RAM
ATI RADEON 2400 XT ( lol i know the card sux for acutal games )

well i payed 450 euro.......

thats all i write cause i think thats enough....
what do u think ? i mainly want to play COD 4 !

wow ahhh i havn't a clue my video card is NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 and Bioshock goes slow i can't play Gears Of War which i payed $50 O_o if i work this summer i'm buying parts and building my own computer....call it The Super Computer

Cod4 is perfectly playable on even older machines.

I can run COD4 with my R9800SE perfectly so... and this card came out like four years ago. Four years in gaming is like a century irl.

lol idk have u guys seen actual benchmarks of the RADEON HD 2400XT ?

i mean ok when u activate AA 8x and AF 16x then its pretty sure that the performance breaks in......cause with these options they benchmark all cards.......

but i dont want to play with everything setting to high ! i want to play without AA and AF and 800x600 that would be enough for me.......

all i want are 25-30+ frames constantly ( in COD 4 )

There's not much sense in using antialising with high resolutions, you won't get noticeably better picture. I myself thought of buying AGP edition of HD 2600, this card should be sufficient for some time.

yeah youre right i think the same about this........

when u run high res u wont see a noticeable diffrence at all......
but thats it how they test the performance of new cards......

well if i were you i wouldnt buy that HD2600 CARD
dont know but i wouldnt buy her

just check some benchmarks.......i mean i would tend to spend a few more bucks for having a card thats able to handle future games.......then having a card thats already to weak for actual games

i will buy myself an RADEON x1950 PRO found a dealer who offers it for 120 euro thats cheap they other dealer wants 170 !

and damn the card is almost 30% faster than an GFORCE 8600 GT that costs 110 euro

didnt knew that narfous.......

anyways i buyed myself now a RADEON x1950 PRO using the CATALYST v8.1..........

CALL OF DUTY 4 runs PERFECTLY on medium settings @ 1024

DOOM 3 runs perfectly on HIGH settings @ 1024

KANE AND LYNCH runs a little bit slow sometimes but almost 20-25 frames.....all the time.....

CONDEMNED runs perfectly too ! @ 1024 and medium - high settings....

ARMED ASSAULT runs damn slow......dont know why i use V1.0 without any patch.......

MOH AIRBORNE runs good but just medium settings @ 800x600

these are all games i lent from the video store to check performance.......
BTW i also GOT VIETCONG 1 but that game doesnt want to START under VISTA.........

i read that the MULTIPLAYER MODE isnt COMPATIBLE with VISTA but singleplayer should be working.......well i didnt use PATCH v1.60 though will install it and check again then........

but if someone knows how to run it plz tell me bye
