So far no fires, floods, or killer bees. I'll let you know if anything wierd happens. (Actually, you'll probably hear me cursing whereever you are on the planet, if something goes wrong.)

Day 1: Nothing bad to report.
Microsoft has delayed the release of SP3 to the general public because of *shock* problems it cause during the Business release.

Microsoft has delayed the release of SP3 to the general public because of *shock* problems it cause during the Business release.
In the last few days, we have uncovered a compatibility issue between Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) and both Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). In order to make sure customers have the best possible experience, we have decided to delay releasing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) to the web.
To help protect customers, we plan to put filtering in place shortly to prevent Windows Update from offering both service packs to systems running Microsoft Dynamics RMS. Once filtering is in place, we expect to release Windows XP SP3 to the web.
We are also testing a fix, and will make it available once that process is complete. Once they have installed the fix, Microsoft Dynamics RMS customers should be able to run both service packs.
Until then, we advise Microsoft Dynamics RMS customers to not install either service pack. Microsoft Dynamics RMS customers running Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1 should contact Microsoft Customer Support Services for additional information.

Two strange incidents so far. When I unhooked my MP3 player (Gigabeat f-10) from it's USB cable I got a strange error messege I've never seen before, something about Windows being unable to copy the contents of the harddrive. Also I was playing the game 'Red Baron' (pretty cool by the way) when I exited out of the game my time had been switched from Eastern US to Pacific US...

Perhaps you should have used the Safely Remove Hardware option (get it by right-clicking on your MP3 player or other USB device icon in the tray - on the right of the Taskbar) and stopped all data transfer before disconnecting the player.Trey wrote:Two strange incidents so far. Maybe, but it's still the first time I ever got that messege, and I wasn't using it at the time, I was just letting the battery charge.zobraks wrote:Perhaps you should have used the Safely Remove Hardware option (get it by right-clicking on your MP3 player or other USB device icon in the tray - on the right of the Taskbar) and stopped all data transfer before disconnecting the player.Trey wrote:Two strange incidents so far.
