How do i burn a ISO file right.....

Post by hurenBock »

hi

i have a answer about burning a ISO file to a CDR.......
cause im extreme noob in burning things....

i can burn file cd`s but not more...... wasnt really necessary until now...

so what i exactly want to know is how i have to burn a ISO file
to a CDR that the PC regonizes the CD i.e with "AUTOSTART" from the DVD drive......

i must burn it like this cause its a winXP ISO

i mean the CD must work when i set just "DVD DRIVE" in BIOS @ BOOT DEVICE you know what i mean ?

i use ULTRAISO latest version...
maybe one can make a good tutorial with numbers like
"
1. put in CDR

2. choose the ISO

"
Idiots are just like the weather. You have to live with it.

If the ISO was made correctly in the first place your ISO should be bootable.

Open the ISO with UltraISO and it will tell you if the ISO is bootable.
There is a little box just above the left window pane.
If UltraISO says "Bootable CD/DVD" then you are all set.
If it only says "Data CD/DVD" then the ISO was created by an idiot and
it is not bootable and you will have to import a boot file.
However, probably your ISO is bootable.

I use Nero Express for burning this kind of ISO. The fewer options you need to think about, the better.

1. Open your burning program.

2. Choose ISO.

3. Insert CD-R.

4. Burn ISO.

Tip, burn at half the maximum speed instead of say 52x for better burn.
