I'm having display 'issues'...

Post by Trey »

This is something new that I haven't had trouble with until now. If I start a game in 'windowed' mode it displays fine, but if I try to run it in 'fullscreen' the display is offset by about 1/3. As if the display is moved up by 1/3, leaving a black bar at the bottom and the top 1/3 off the screen. I've experienced things like this before like when the game resolution doesn't match the default desktop resolution, but that's usually fixed by changing resolutions. But that's not helping with this, the screen still remains offset by 1/3... I've experienced this twice in 2 days with 2 very different games, one was 'Escape From Butcher Bay' and the other was the puzzle game 'Gravity'. Any idea's as to what's causing this problem? I personally haven't changed any settings (course that doesn't mean something else couldn't have changed something.)

And you can't fix it by changing settings on your monitor?

I was playing around last night, I was able to get 'Riddick' full screen by changing resolutions and settings to match the desktop, but 'Gravity' is still messed up, and it has no resolution settings or .ini I could change.
