The latest whim of 4Shared

Seems like 4Shared is putting more pressure on free users:

They're trying to become another EasyShare? :-x

Ok, everybody uploads on Megaupload from now own. At least I do. I'm not snatching anything from 4shared. It's insulting. :-x

Yes, it´s a shame, i was to download Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas and only one part at a time and/or 150 to 300 seconds to wait :(

Mediafire wait for me!

it's fine by me. You're getting a full demo for free, have some patience and lengthen your attention spans!

The only other host I can stand is Megaupload, because of the large file size, short waits, and fast speeds. I've kind of gotten used to 4shared even with it's annoying quirks. It looks like it's turning into Rapidshare.

I can only assume that their bandwidth has gotten to a breaking point, and they're no longer worried about losing all us free users, just looking to generate revenue. Too bad really, they've been the mainstay here for years now...

Still fine by me if it actually downloads, in my case sometimes it even loops back to the pre-counter page. And the 200 second timer on even the small files happened to me as well :(

Yeah, 4shared is now a bitch, and it hates good ol' Jdownloader.
Man, that sucks :-x

They'll be able to tune the java app to the new wait time, but the new wait time SUCKS...

300 seconds mean nothing when I have 5 tabs at once all counting down. :)

I've noticed that it's also screwing up the filenames when downloaded.

xxxx.part1.rar becomes xxxxpart1.rar

Unless you want to rename all the files manually; you'll need a file renamer such as the one provided in Total Commander.

Also if for some reason it doesn't connect and it resets the countdown; the timer is longer each time this happens.

ACDSee will do the trick, too.

In a few words: all hell broke loose.

I tried that but 4shared will only let you download 1 file at a time and the rest of the files will reset their counting time even much longer. so the 5 or 10 files at a time will not work. :x

Hey Uploaders, Please mirror to another host like Mediafire or Megaupload. :o

I'm snatching 3 files a time.

I'm not upping anything there anymore, relax. :D
