i installed the game The creed on my windows 7 pc,a virtualized windows xp and a real windows 98 o n real computer.in all of themi got the error "pelase insert cd - data disc".now, the game comes in two cd,one is just for installation and the other is supposed to use only when you play(since its never asked for during installation)but it doesn't matter wthere its the first cd or the second,if its with daemon tools or burned to a cd,i stil lgot the same error.any help?
that's what i thought...problem is that there is no crack anywhere on both cds...i solved by creating a an iso iwth both cds contents OR by copying the DATA folder from the 2nd cd int othe installed folder..
probably the problem is that the second disc is not "labeled",or to explain in other words,it does have a label, but its not recognized in either windows 7 or xp.i put the cd\load the image file, and the cd rom icon still appears as if no cd is in.but if you double click it it will open its content.its like the image have been created by merging a folder and then used imgburn or any other program to create images out of folders, and not directly by the original cd itself
I tested the images shortly. First CD is labeled CREED_MAIN and the second one CREED_DATA.
I installed the game by mounting CD1 in D-Tools. After that the game started, but froze suddenly
and I uninstalled it. CD2 wasn't needed within that 20 seconds of gameplay...
well the "DATA CD" was asked even before i started playing..so there must be something in the installer then, since when i joined both DATA folders inside the main one, eveything works fine(well works fine on windows xp in vmware in SOFTWARE mode only)
