Host Master and the Conquest of Humor
I can't claim that this a fan-made adventure, but it is free. You play as Tim Schafer who has procrastinated before the GDC and has no jokes ready, so you must help him find his jokes.
It's fairly funny with unique responses for most of the options.

it has that "Ye oldie interface"
click on "walk" to walk ,click on "pickup" to pickup,click on "use" to use item. and on and on e.t.c ,e.t.c
I seem to have lost the patience for this type of game now.
There's a few old games I'd like to see remade with more user friendly controls.interface.
edit:Though i'll stick with it ,meddle has made me curious to try it
Most Doublefine stuff is cool.
