Yes, for DOS I use DOSBox, my question was more related to old Windows games (Windows 9x)
QEMU works quite well, I have it with Windows 95, I also have a VirtualBox with Windows XP (the tests I did went very well), but you say that VMware is better so I will try it.
Will VirtualBox/VMware work well if I install Windows 95/98 on them?
To install Windows 95 in DOSBox, which of all the existing versions of the emulator is the best?
Ready-to-use VMs

DOSBox ECE for speed ... in other words if your lazy asf just get a game from collectionchamber.blogspot.com , a random windows game like this one "https://collectionchamber.blogspot.com/p/beyond-time.html" and retrofit it to be your Win95 Emulator ... take this and retrofit it to be your Win3.11 emu for games "https://collectionchamber.blogspot.com/p/weird-truth-is-stranger-than-fiction.html" ... and then just replace the Dosbox-X with Dosbox ECEroioros wrote:To install Windows 95 in DOSBox, which of all the existing versions of the emulator is the best?

Re: Ready-to-use VMs
Thank you!
Fantastic videos, I didn't know WMware was working so well, I'm going to try it.
DOSBox ECE is the DOSBox that I use, I didn't know that Windows 95 could be installed on it, I would like to do it from scratch, do you have a guide or steps to follow to be able to do it?

"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJtUdX_R6yE" step by step ... how to install Win98 (the same you do on Win95) with a show off at the end how it runs "Myth II" in Dosbox ... like native fast lulz... but get a game from Biff , it will save you 7h to 15h you will waste on installing it
since installing a OS is one thing ... but then you have to install Sound Drivers\DX\Graphic Drivers\Video Drivers and so on
But in my Win95\Win98 version i do not use the imgmount command , but real HDD Folder and DT for mounting CD\Floppy images ...
With :
But They use it to have a one clean Virtual HDD image ... for sanity sake
