On XP this Game have a Unplayable Bug, with the Retail Game, do you know how to fix that ?
The GOG Release works bud the GOG Release have FPS Drops,

the game was released in too early of a state with many bugs. A small portion of the original team with a couple of new faces continued to work on the game for 3 years. Nearly every day. Every single issue plaguing the first game has been addressed as Book Of Adventum - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1672 ... _Adventum/
The story is the same. The VO was extended. 15 new quests were designed and added. New animations were added. The performance issues have been ironed out, really ironed out. The game world also underwent significant changes, especially two out of three larger outdoor areas were redesigned. Container cave (one of the demo scenes) was completely rebuild from the ground up. All particle effects are new. Terrain is new. Water is new. New weapons were added and some old old were redesigned. The overall game feel and balance has been improved significantly. The entire lighting system was redesigned and every single scene relit. The save system has been overhauled. The inventory system was overhauled.
