it only dumps the whole data files to C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch , windows only does that for the main exes but this thing goes for the jack point , it prefeches all data and dumps the measuring result into Prefetch
Looks OK - but needing to reboot Pc before and after and not be connected to the net while playing negates any improvement - if seen ?? - tried with Crysis - Bioshock - Gears of War - no noticable improvement.
Thanks Tho - like these kind of apps.
When I play heavy games I usually turn off everything, but this program does it all for me so its quite usefull, because I can play Crysis on 20fps instead of 15. Reboot takes only 1 minute so thats not so bad. :P
And you call it "play"? LOL. The only acceptable speed I see is about 35 fps. Either make an upgrade or stop playing it. What can you do with 20 fps? It aint a play, it's a torture to yourself.
It depends. For some 60fps is not enough and for some 20 is ok'ish. I got used to playing on minimum 20fps, but the most important factor is stable fps.

Ofcourse, you've got your point but 20 fps... isn't it too slow? Besides, we're talking about shooter, not some quest or strategy. But, anyway, it's your business which fps to tolerate. I had very good fps in Crysis but this game is one time play. When you beat it, you'll forget it instantly. Except very good but raw technology, this game simply can't offer you anything really special.
I had an argument about this on irc a few days ago... 20fps really isn't that bad if you consider that motion pictures are ~24fps. Probably 30-35fps is ideal. 60fps an up just looks... weird, too fluid for reality. This is demonstrated by some games that actually lower the framerate during cutscenes to make them look more 'cinematic'.
Oh, the point I was trying to make is that a consistent framerate is really more important than a huge number of frames.
