Try the following settings:

1)Core Dynamic
2) Cycles value: 10.000

I have these settings. And I think that these settings helped me to install the game, because as i mentioned before i remember having a problem with this game too. After all i installed it and now it runs fine.

I think i had a problem with this game too but i am not 100% sure. I will check it out at home and inform you if it was the same problem. Could it possybly be a core/cycles issue? Try to label your mounted CD_ROM too.

The game is much better in XBOX 360. PC gaming was always problematic. Game consoles do it simply better....

Hostel is a very nice film. And the most disturbing about it is that what you see in there, happens acctualy in the real world. The revenge scenes are excellent and very satisfying. Highly recomended!

So guys i managed to find a solution, which makes the game at least "playable". :D You need the patch file for the DOS version, otherwise the game and the mouse will keep freezing in the options menu, no matter what you do to avoid this problem. I apply for everybody here the patch for the english ...
