You need to upload it to an image host first. IMGBB.com gives you the compatible BBCODE that you want.

You can also modify it so that it so that it links directly instead of the page that will contain ads if you dont have an adblocker. Right click on the image in you browser and grab the appropiate link

This forum has a preview button so that you will know if you messed something up before actually posting it. The images on imgbb do seem to stay up for a while, at least while the post in question is still relevant. You probably want to stick to thumbnails with a link to the full image, so that you dont ruin the browser experience for other peope. Some browsers do seem better at scaling images than others however.
