Anyhoo, here's yer answer:

delete all instances of IsUninst.exe, as in ALL similar types of that uninstaller executable (can be renamed in various kinds, like having a _ or numbers or whatever)
These are outdated versions of said InstallShield uninstall application left over from previous installed stuff (this is expected behaviour of InstallShield back in the Windows 9x times) from the similar era (like for example Hitman Codename 47, excellent stealth-action
), and deleting them won't affect anything at all
After removing all those, start Setup.exe from the game you want to install - rinse and repeat until the setup proceeds successfully
