System Shock (new) no sound

i got the latest system shock uploaded here,the one with vesa support(sorry i can't remember the name)the game runs fine,but i can only hear music,there 's no digital sound.in "option" inside the game it says "no sound card detected".despite that the game found that i have VDmsound,i stil lcan't hear any sound,and there's no setsound in the directory either...any help?

The only way I used to have it running perfectly was with a virtual PC. The only guaranteed solution to DOS sound issues. Assuming you're using XP.
