This strategy features Nick (Nicodemo) Palermo, a Sicilian immigrant who struggles to make a fresh start in Ellis Island, New York in the 1920s. He has honest intentions but is quickly drawn into the fascinating Mafia lifestyle, becoming a "made man" and going on to defeat other Mafia families in New Orleans ("The Big Easy"), Chicago ("The Windy City") and New York ("The Big Apple"). Players compete via three distinct gameplay modes, managing illegal dealings such as bootlegging, racketeering, extortion, gambling and weapons trade in addition to legal businesses that disguise shady exchanges and aid in money laundering. |
