Rather than taking the traditional grid-based strategy game route, this takes place entirely in real time, with all movement and attacks decided by the player on the fly. To keep player frustration to a minimum four different AI defaults are available at all times, so should a character come under enemy attack they will not stand idly by until they die. As is to be expected from the genre the game offers more stats than you can shake a stick at and a variety of ways to customise your team to your liking. Dialogue takes place using the usual static artwork with dialogue box, and Japanese voiceovers. In addition to the story mode the game also offers competitive multiplayer from the outset over both LAN and TCP/IP connections. |
