You play the role of Mike or Molly walking around the town. Here you meet the Lord Mayor, who is worried about his town: People are irritable, always in a rush, stressed out. And this is definitely not good for a man whose career depends on his popularity among the people. There are certainly many different buildings in the town, but there aren't really any shops, and neither the park nor the museum really has anything to offer. You have to help the Lord Mayor develop the town and make its inhabitants content and happy. By helping, you collect stars, and you are rewarded with more shops and other kinds of extensions. You also have to decide which colour the town hall should be, or whether there should be benches or flower beds in the park. But the selection of one extension means the exclusion of another, which you won't have the opportunity to get until next time you play. So your town will look
different each time you play, and for this reason the game can be played over and over again. For the smallest children, reality is just as full of mysteries as a really good fairytale. In The Town isn't just a game with tasks, but also a playground in which discovering and uncovering the mysteries of daily life play an important part. The city is studded with videos and photos; what happens in the bakery, at the fire station etc. The Mike and Molly's Adventures series supports a type of game-play, which is very much like children's own. The focus is not on performance or the riddles you have to solve to progress in the game. Instead you find yourself on a big organic play interface, where you decide how the game should develop at your own pace. The tasks are built up in such a way that it is possible for everybody in the target group to choose tasks that suit their level of development. There is fun to be had by both the youngest children and those who are a little older. Behind the whole experience is the story of a Lord Mayor who has found thought. He needs your help.
