According to legend, the Lord created Chaos, and then divided it into two parts marking the births of the Spirit of Light and the Prince of Darkness. Now, the evil Prince wants to overtake his father, and has created a horde of monsters and demons to inflict pain on the rest of the universe. The Lord and the Spirit of Light united to defeat the maligned Prince, but the battle took much of the life from the Lord and sent him into the depths of the Universe. Can you survive in a world with no gods, where Chaos reigns supreme? This sword-fighting action-adventure uses a new portal engine which allows real time lighting, volumetric lights and shadows, a real time physic and fluid system, and effects like water reflections, smoke, particle system, acid lakes, magic auras. There's more than 16 different realistic outdoor/indoor environments: frozen landscape, desert, Arabic Palaces, Hindu Temples, volcanos, Lost Island, mines, etc. You have four characters to choose from, each one with specific skills. There's a playing Character progression depending on your abilities. Up to 100 different weapons are available including sword, axes, spears, bows, shields, magic weapons. Up to 25 different races of enemies such as orks, trolls, golems, demons, and skeletons are present. Also, up to 100 puzzles and traps combining physics, hydraulic systems, arrows, fire, and stone balls. The games is also quite bloody - severed appendages fly forth amidst plenty of arterial spraying, which pours to the ground in bright red splotches. A Remastered version was released on Oct 7/2021 re-engineered to work on modern PC hardware, added widescreen support up to 4K resolution, introduced new display settings, and improved its overall stability. | ||
