At start, you will be able to enter your "Chinese" name using the Zhuyin phonetic input method. If you skip entering the characters, the guy's name will be left as Fan Ti (凡 提) by default. Movements are realized in real time. The controls are quite simple - almost all actions are done with the mouse. You can enter into dialogues with characters. In this case, the selection points for further branching of the conversation will be conveniently displayed directly in the text window. Some of the characters will even ask you to complete some errands. Projection - 2D-isometric oblique with the implementation of differences in the terrain and with the ability to enter buildings. Moreover, the wall of the house automatically becomes transparent as soon as you go inside. Passers-by walk the streets, peasants work in the gardens, and cattle and poultry are walking in the yards. Everything is displayed in a top view on a single scale on the ground. As soon as you reach the edge of the screen, the map will change, and you will find yourself in a new place - in general, a rather spacious world has been created in the game. In addition to the relief, the height of the trees has been implemented. So, beautiful autumn foliage can cover the character if he moves along forest paths. On the developer's site, miraculously preserved in the web archive, there is information that you may have partners in the game. These are three more characters: a girl with a magic staff, a tall youth also with a staff, and a strong stocky Viking warrior with a large ax. The items to be picked up are drawn in detail and are quite understandable for their purpose. For the restoration of strength, fruits and other food are mainly responsible here. Items can be hidden in chests, now and then scattered around the area. But not always something useful is put in the chest: you can open it and release, for example, angry wasps. There will be few opponents at first. You just need to walk, talk, study the situation and fulfill the requests of the local population. The combat mode takes place in real time - right on the same map, however, the opponents still attack strictly in turn. All you need to do is to activate your combat abilities in the menu in advance and use the "mouse" to indicate the target for the next strike. And then your character will act on his own. The menu is presented here in the form of thematic figured windows. The main window is the character's equipment and items. Clothes and weapons are put on directly on the figure of your protagonist - a helmet, shoes and a sword are "installed" on the corresponding parts of the body. The found items are dumped ... put into a "travel bag", which is made in the form of an image ... of a travel bag. Over time, there are a lot of things inside there, and they begin to close each other. Well, it's inconvenient compared to games where wearable themes are neatly arranged "on the shelves", but what a realism it gives. Another window displays a detailed role-playing system, which consists of about a dozen parameters: health (生命 值), magic (法力), experience (經驗 值), skill (技巧), load (負載 值), attack (攻擊 力) , defense (防禦 力), reaction (反應 力), agility (敏捷 度). Besides, the stock of required components for the magic of water (水), fire (火), earth (地) and wind (風) is displayed.
