The first game based on the Korean comics of the same name. The story begins with a childless couple; the wife suffers so much because of this that the spouses decide to turn to one powerful demon, and he offers help for a favor. The child is born, but the demon does not intend to let go of the family, as a result of which the wife dies. The father decides to take revenge and leaves his son in the care of an old acquaintance. Many years later, the son grows up - and from that moment we will play him. The gameplay is built in a standard way: we fight monsters in order to become stronger, from time to time purchasing necessary things and healing wounds; the plot develops linearly, despite the optional ability to communicate with the NPC (the Ctrl key, which is also responsible for any interaction with the environment). Battles occur randomly and take place in half-step mode with a side view. Commands can be divided into two parts - basic (attack, defense) and advanced (special moves, spells); both correspond to scales. It was not possible to identify any system in the return of commands, which makes the game extremely difficult to complete. Most of the opponents are mostly people, animals, and evil spirits. For defeating them, we get the experience required to obtain new levels, which, in turn, automatically increases the characteristics (varieties of strength, endurance, etc.). Equipment and other useful items can be either purchased in stores or found at the locations themselves in chests. The graphics are made in a combination of pre-rendered (battle backgrounds and character models) and pixel (everything else) styles. Locations are executed in perspective with a top view, however, many objects are drawn as if in haste, which gives the impression of a budget. In side-view battles, the situation is no better, and sometimes even worse. The music is good, but nothing special. |
