Yoco: Le Mystère des fruits disparus [Fr] Mandarine Interactive 2000

The second of two conventionally adventure games (in fact, they are hybrids of a simplified quest and an arcade interspersed with puzzles) for a children's audience, developed and published by order of Yoco, a subsidiary of Nestle Corporation, which produced yoghurts and various other dairy products in France. The plot, alas, is at the same time strange (but quite in the traditions of "French fiction") and primitive: fruits disappear en masse on plantations all over the world, which is sometimes even accompanied by the appearance of some monsters - and Yoko (a boy with bright red hair sticking up , which is the symbol of the above trademark), together with two of his friends (a boy with glasses and a very young girl) decides to sort out the situation. It should be noted right away before starting, you need to click on all the spreadsheets of the newspaper with the news that the children are reading - this will lead to the appearance of a world map with four destinations: in Scotland, North Africa, South America and the Pacific Islands (where the entourage will be Australian, although highlighted like like Sumatra). Each of them represents a separate "chapter" of the story (and with its own peculiarities of the gameplay), and these "chapters" can be played in any order. Yoko's portrait is always displayed at the bottom of the screen; when you move the mouse cursor to it to the right, a menu bar is displayed, in which, using the appropriate options, you can save the game and exit it, as well as at any time switch to any other of the above "adventures" (yes, even that is allowed here) or go to a separate screen with five mini-games (all of them - along with some others - will also be encountered in the "main" mode). In the first two of the regions indicated above, Yoko goes (always on a huge paper airplane ...) with a boy, in the third and fourth - with a girl.
