After a brief introduction and explanation of why Nils Holgersson became an imp, Selma Lagerlöf's adventure continues with the episode Nils Holgersson. Friends in danger both on CD-ROM and as a radio play on CD. Nils is crouching on the flying domestic goose Martin when they are almost hit by a bullet. Unfortunately, however, Nils falls down and lands on the bank, where he meets a duck with a bandaged beak. The player can free the duck Jarro with a knife. Now she can talk and immediately tells Nils that the hunter has tied her up as a decoy. She also worries about her boyfriend, a little boy named Per Ola, because his rowboat is leaking. Now a boat has to be found quickly to save the little boy. In-house production is the motto. After successful work, we go to sleep, but new adventures await our hero in the morning. The adventure game continues like this, alternating between seven scenes with puzzles, tasks and stories. Many clicks bring up pleasant, little gimmicks that are embedded in a very natural and detailed-looking graphic through enchanting images in warm colors. The supplementary radio play CD vividly tells the entire adventure and thus serves as an aid or explanation about the game. |
