Milo and the Magical Stones Ice Multimedia / DK Interactive 2000

Based on the children's book character created by Marcus Pfister, this program introduces Milo, a mischievous little mouse who lives peacefully on an island with other little mice. One day, he discovers a glowing stone in a cave and decides to take it back to the village. The stone has magical warming powers, and Milo and his friends set out to find more stones to keep the mice warm all winter. Children help out by guiding the mice around the island, meeting characters, making friends, and solving logic puzzles. Activities are innovative and enjoyable. Kids help a mole dig a maze-like tunnel, for instance, as well as repair a crocodile's broken teeth and catch flies for a hungry toad. The compelling adventure can be played at two difficulty levels. During the game, kids will make choices between good and bad. The storyline then changes according to the decisions players make. Kids will experience 20 different worlds inhabited by engaging, 3-D characters. Eight individual action games are well integrated into the adventure. Players work through six puzzles within a story that has six possible endings with one final end. Two levels of difficulty add to the value and fun.
