This is a free browser-based, top-down Diablo style MMORPG from the creator of Battlefield Heroes, and based on its movie equivalent. It plunges players into 1930 Egypt either as adventurers fighting the mummy, or cultists who strive to awaken it. Set in the 1930s, The Mummy Online is centered around Professor Edward Morgan, who's wife has been struck with a mysterious illness after discovering an ancient artifact. As he searches for a cure he unwittingly unleashes an ancient destructive power. Wield the whip, the gun or the spell as you explore thematic environments inspired by the movie. Players are allowed to play one of three classes, a melee, a ranged and a caster, divided between two factions(raiders and cultists) vying against each other for control of PvP areas. The game features four different factions, plenty of enemies like scorpions and mummies, and takes place in a fully 3D world. You can unlock new skills and powers as you progress and outfit your character with ever more powerful gear. The world itself is surprisingly varied, letting you explore everything from ancient ruins and tombs to oasis' filled with lush green plant life. The game was shut down on October/2013. |
