Warsaw's Mission: Bielany Initially released as a free Flash browser game in Poland in three parts lasting an hour each. Its developers previously worked on The Witcher. You play as an Agent of Mayor's Office Protection Squad (MOPS). More than 100,000 people around the world played it, and at one time there were so many players online at once that it crashed their server. The game was about an agent of the mayor's office protection squad trying to learn more about a mysterious person called 'The Dark Character'. It involved travelling through the capital of Poland, where you met with an eccentric professor and several other characters. The game used real photographs, educating players about the history and geography of the Warsaw district. Mission: Bielany II (2011) takes place predominantly in Warsaw's (the capital city of Poland) Bielany District, showcasing the district's varied locations using spherical photographic panoramas. Additionally, players will be able to visit two additional cities: Cracow and Torun, both of which have their own Bielany districts. In total, the game spans 25 different locations, presented using 200 unique spherical panoramas. You take the role of the local newspaper's reporter, investigating the mysterious disappearance of one of your informants. Very soon you find yourself mixed up in a deadly conspiracy which spans decades, targetted by a dangerous villain known only as the Enigma Man. Its three episodes of two hours each are now downloadable and use the Ogre engine, which allows all the panoramas to be displayed in very high resolution. The Polish version had voiceovers for all characters. Instead of only using photographs, the sequel has FMV sequences with real actors like in Detalion's Reah and Schizm, so you can see the person you're talking to move and respond.
