Ultraverse Hardcase Malibu Comics Entertainment 1993

One year after launching their initially successful “Ultraverse” line of superhero comics, Malibu Comics decided to extend their newfound empire into new mediums. One of these was computers. For this platform they launched a short lived attempt at adapting their comics into interactive form in a line of CD-ROM titles called CD-Romix. Three CD-ROMs in total were released adapting three series: Prime, Hardcase and Freex. The Hardcase CD adapted the very first issue of the Hardcase comic series that followed actor turned superhero as he fights against a violent villain by the name of Head Knocker. It was given animation, music, sound effects and full voice over work to turn it from a normal comic into an interactive and more lively one. The CD also included a behind the scenes look at the making of the original comic it was based on.
