This is the 1994 CD-ROM release of the classic rock comedy This is Spinal Tap. It was made by the Voyager Company who are famous for converting feature length movies to CD-ROM format and even predated DVDs by including extra features as well. The main disc of the set allows you to run Marti DiBergi's documentary masterpiece using a simple to use interface. You can jump to certain scenes in the movie, musical numbers or segments set in certain cities. You ture to search for certain words, phquotes said throughout the film which the search will then take you to if found. There are also two commentaries, one of which involving the three main cast members out of character. That commentary has never been featured on any DVD release since the Voyager CD-ROM release. You can even turn the volume up to 11! The bonus CD includes music videos, 10 scenes from the cutting room floor, a 16mm short DiBergi used to pitch his concept to Hollywood, assorted documents with notes scribbled in the margins, and an odd trailer about a dangerous but merry Scandinavian giant cheese festival which has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. This is a definite must have for fans of the movie. |
