One of the earliest attempts to convert a fully playable movie to home computer, the Voyager Company's CD-ROM release of the 1964 movie A Hard Day's Night featuring the Beatles. All 90 minutes of the original movie can be watched complete and uncut with the option to skip to certain scenes and the film's many musical moments. The original script accompanies the movie and scrolls through pages as the movie plays. Extrras included deleted scenes, a commentary track, an essay, trailers, clips from director Richard Lester's early work and profiles of the band, cast and crew. The product predates DVDs by years and though the film's quality was brought down greatly to fit onto CD-ROMs, the title is a milestone in software innovation made possible by the late, great Voyager Company. It's also sure to also delight Beatles fans too. |
