This is a top-down shooter in which you have to fight a virtually endless number of increasingly difficult boss-battles. Not only do enemy space ships gain better and stronger weapons with each stage, they also adapt to your playing style. To stand a chance against the various spaceships, you can control your own ship's speed and and the direction your weapon shoots in. There are four different modes of play: Normal - You have an infinite number of ships, but also a time limit. You get penalties for loosing ships, but can also increase the time limit with certain actions; 3 ships - You have three ships and there's no time limit; Sudden Death - No time limit, only one ship; Custom - You can customize your time limit and number of ships. It's superb freeware bullet-hell shooter from Japan. You don't battle countless hordes of alien ships in this game: only the "boss" ships, one by one. These boss ships are drawn in 'abstract' funky style, and are automatically generated (using an algorithm not dissimilar to how swarms of enemies are generated in rRootage). There is no defined number of ships in the game. Instead, you have 120-second timer from which 20 seconds are deducted every time you die. You gain seconds after defeating each boss. Naturally, each new boss is more difficult to beat than the last, with a lot more firepower and stamina. |
