I played this one last year. Yeah, excellent game. The quality of it is quite astounding considering Parallax’s earlier shooters Liquidator WTH and Utopia City are considerably weaker, though I still finished both of those as well, and the latter had some interesting ideas while still being wildly unbalanced. I still haven’t come across a Ukranian shooter I couldn’t cope with though :D

But Exodus for me was a very successful game, I mean it is just a simplistic shooter but the play length is surprisingly good, and the gunplay is reasonably demanding and fun (much like Chaser without bullet-time) and the game shows some interesting contrast with the levels and design, and overall I really liked it. It is a shame Parallax Studios has since closed its doors, but some of the team members moved on to GSC Gameworld to work on upcoming Stalker entries :)

Okay good. It reminds me of Chaser and Chrome. It suffers from an awful translation, which makes it more confusing than it should be, the difficulty needs to be bumped down, and the graphics engine looks kind of antiquated. It's really not a bad little game, it could have used some more polish though.

Yeah, poor localisation unfortunately comes with the territory with these games. On the bright side, this one isn’t as bad as Alpha Prime. I think if you play enough of these games you eventually get used to the seemingly quirky design nuances so finding the goals becomes more instinctive rather than logical . . well that has been my experience anyway. I agree the game engine isn’t as hot as other games out there, but at least you don’t need a ninja PC to play. I thought the difficulty for this was fine on the hardest setting, but others have said to me they thought the aiming was ropey or other niggles besides so I guess it is different for everyone.

BTW Did you manage to sort out your ‘ghost busting’ related game, and if so what did you think about it?
