Does anyone know where i can get a no cd patch?
Also, it said it installed an old version of quicktime, but the game itself is unaware.
I would like answers to these questions, and info on anyining else I might encounter.

ah a Vista specific question ... why didn't you say that your on Vista Os
1. install SP2 for vista it has new backwards compatibility tools
2. install it with picking the old QT thats on the disk
3. then run i win95 compatibility mode in 640x480 disabling all services
worked fine , the trouble in this game is the QT player that runs this game only runs this version of QT 2.1.2 thats on the disk ... the new versions of QT aren't backward compatible so uninstall them before installing the old 2.1.2
thats is
or you could do the lazy way and install VPC with win98 and run the game in that environment

Although this post is old, this may help anyone who stumbles across it & wants to run obsidian a little easier, this is not a no cd patch like Claire was asking for, ( I am not sure that anyone has made it run without a cd yet) but it is a 1 cd patch, in that it compiles all of the 5 discs that obsidian uses into 1 single disc.
The disc must be specifically named 'OBSIDIAN' in order to work, & I am not sure if it works 100% or if it will work on vista/win7 64 or 32 etc as I have not tested it yet, it was created by Snover & full instructions should be contained within.
