Re: need help with ISO download
The .vmk/vmx/... files you downloaded constitute a ready-to-use VM (with Win95 already configured), if you choose this way then you need VMware player (the link Shattered gave).
If you want to set up the VM as seen on the video, then you need to use the .iso file you downloaded.
To sum up the VirtualBox+ISO process seen in the video:
1) Download VirtualBox, Win95 and the bootdisk:
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualb ... 30-Win.exe
http://wdl3.winworldpc.com/Abandonware% ... dows%2095/ (choose the 4.00.950 CD version)
http://s93616405.onlinehome.us/bootdisk/622c.zip
Extract the .iso and the bootdisk wherever you can access them.
2) Install VirtualBox, create a new VM
1. Enter a name --> choose Windows 95 --> Next --> Next
2. Choose "Create a new hard disk" --> "VDI" --> Next --> Next --> Create
3) Select the new VM on the left menu and click the Settings button
1. Go to System --> Acceleration --> Uncheck the "VT-x/AMD-v" box
2. Go to Storage --> Click on "Empty" right under "Floppy Controller" --> Click on the Floppy icon on the top right --> "Choose ..."
Select the 622C.img file you downloaded (from the third link) and valid.
3. Click "Empty" right under "IDE Controller" --> Click on the CD icon on the top right --> "Choose..."
Select the Windows 95 CD ISO you downloaded from the second link and valid. --> "OK"
4) Run the VM. Once the command line is loaded, type:
fdisk
Always choose the first option and press Enter.
When the Partition is created, go to Machine (top left) --> Reboot --> OK
The command prompt opens again. Type:
1. format C:
2. y
(wait)
3. C:
4. md Win95
5. copy R:\Win95 C:\Win95
6. cd Win95
7. setup
5) The setup process needs no special instructions except:
-If you need a serial use 32397 - OEM - 0027426 - 81349
-If you need a compact installation, select "Custom Installation" and only select the "Volume control" and Sound/Video compression options (uncheck all the rest)
else, just choose normal installation.
-Cancel the Printer Setup process.
6) When the all the installation files are copied, go to "Devices" (on the top left of the VM window) --> Floppy --> Eject...
and accept rebooting.
7) When the VM restarts, wait for the installation to finish. (A reboot might be required again)
8) On the next reboot, your Win95 VM is ready to be used. Go to "Devices" --> CD-ROM --> Choose... -->
and select the World of Flight ISO. It then should be accessible from the "My Computer" icon on the desktop.
These instructions show how to setup a "basic" Win95 VM, meaning it's not the perfect configuration for old gaming. Soon I'll post read-to-use VMs for different OS and different software, including the best sound/graphics drivers and the general runtimes needed.
If you want to use the vmk files for VMware, I'll explain this in another post.

Re: need help with ISO download
1) Download the UniVBE driver: https://anonfiles.com/file/59c8b4dc8a2b ... 4c7d9c1d85
2) Attach the .img file to the VM's A: drive (as seen with the bootdisk floppy)
3) Boot
In the VM:
3) Go to Start menu --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Add New Hardware
4) Next --> Tick "No" --> Tick "Display Adapters" --> Click "Have Disk..." --> Enter "A:" as source path and valid
5) Select the first adapter in the list and OK
6) Valid all the next messages, including the warnings about conflicts. Don't start the troubleshooting tool.
7) You will be asked to reboot the computer. OK.
After the reboot:
8) Go to control panel --> Display --> Settings tab --> Advanced properties --> "Adapter" tab --> Change...
9) Select "VBE Miniport"(...) --> OK
It'll maybe ask you to reboot once more (I'm not sure). Deny, and go back to the Display settings to choose 256 colors or higher - you can also get 800*600 or 1024*768 resolution.
You need to reboot in order to finally get the settings applied.

Re: need help with ISO download
My mistake, the IMG file I gave is faulty.
Download this ISO: https://anonfiles.com/file/86f56063a52f ... 355979c68e
and attach it to the CD-ROM device. The steps 3-9 remain unchanged, except that you need to put "D:" as source drive for the drivers installation.

Re: need help with ISO download
A/ Go to the VM's Settings window in VirtualBox --> "Sound" tab: Make sure the Sound Card case is checked, as well as "DirectSound and SoundBlaster 16" selected
B/ In Win95, go to Control Panel --> System --> "Device Manager" tab --> Sound, video and game controllers: Does "Creative Labs SoundBlaster 16 or AWE-32" show up ?
If yes, attach this ISO: https://anonfiles.com/file/250426a95184 ... 8066749582 to the VM CD drive.
Open the CD, run Upddrv95.exe, accept and reboot.
(according to VOGONS's DosFreak, these drivers should be the best working, if they don't run fine I've got no other solution for now...)
Ironically, I find it great you are reporting all these problems, the soon-to-come VMs will be more complete, better configured and ready to play more games
