E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial for the Atari 2600

Post by oldman »

Code: Select all

http://www.neocomputer.org/projects/et/
Some guy made a fixed version of that much maligned ET game.

You can read what he has attempted to fix on the link above.
He has also posted two links ,so u can try the original version or download his new fixed version.
ET.bin (unmodified)
OR
ET_Fixed_Final.bin

You can probably use "Stella - Atari 2600 Emulator" to play it.

Code: Select all

http://sourceforge.net/projects/stella/
http://stella.sourceforge.net/
or try other emulators:

Code: Select all

https://atariage.com/2600/emulation/index.php?SystemID=2600
Games have come a long way ,since E.T. :)

They found the infamous garbage dump full of those buried unsold cartridges of E.T. some months ago.

...to prove it wasn't an urban myth. Hehe.
It was a major event in video game history in that it was part of the video game collapse of 1983 that nearly shut down the industry.

It took 30+ years for someone to finally fix that thing? The changes are downright scary from an asm viewpoint - and the author posts under "fun stuff" ^^
