It's easy. Just follow the nfos

... ok, for you:
Simply unpack Soldner archives to a directory of your choice. Then hit unpack.bat to decompress the game files.
Then unpack the Sound Fix (Tecsndfx.rar) to your Soldner dir and run "Fix.bat". This will make the game playable.
Note: To make this game work without the need of a fixed image, simply unrar the crackfix (crackfix.rar) into the game's subdirectory \game\Bin.

You may now run the game as usual.

I did EVERYTHING the nfo asked me to do. I extracted teh soldner archives ran unpack.bat. after a long while it got over. i clicked yes for registry input.

then i unpacked 'tecfx.ace' (in ur above post u said tecsndfx.rar, i can't find such a file! but i have a tecfx.ace) I ran Fix.bat, told me to wait, after a while it got over. I installed the movie addon. I mounted the file (using Daemon tools),

if i run 'soeldnersecretwars.exe' in game\bin\ a message comes 'cannot find bin\binkplay.exe' but the binkplay.exe is there (game can't find it)

if i run 'soldner.bat' in game\bin the movies show but the game dosen't come. (it goes back to windows)

same thing if i use the crack (and unmount the file)

So i'm wondering if you REALLY played the game (cause i can't find anyone else who has the rip and the game has worked for them)

Of course I have. And by the way... in the frist briefcase there's a rar file containing both tecsndfx.rar and crackfix.rar.

That's the way it worked for me.

allright fine, i download that (coz i got my version from another site)
I think a newer version of daemon tools would fix it.....

This rip is bad and has alot of problems.

But I did get it working...only thing it wont accept CD keys. I tried all that came with it...it said all were false. I even rang up a friend who owns the game. His key didnt work either. WTF is the problem?

Just reinstall the game and try to delete the next register keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\JoWooD\Portal\soeldner

Did anyone get this to work? I don't think theres a registry editing file on mine. I checked the registry to delete the two files that the guy said to delete and i couldn't find a JoWood folder meaning its not in the registry. Anyone have the registry editor file for upload? Thanks

Yes exactly same here. I think the problem is with XP service pack 2. When it gets to the Reg setup part of the rip setup it says "16-bit subsystem" and that the application is not suitable.

Could someone export the settings and upload a Soldner .reg file for the registry editor so those of us having problems can play the game?
