Obvious question - is your wireless card picking up the signal from the wireless router? What signal strength are you getting?

More than likely the Playstation 3 needs a wired connection. I don't know if those systems have a wireless nic built in.

Have you set up your router OK? Check the manual/CD that comes with the router and in my experience it's easiest to do that at first with a cable.
If distance is a problem, maybe you can borrow a laptop...
If all is correct you can make the wireless connection.
Don't forget the security - preferably WPA2

BTW, the access to your router is NOT your own IP adress, it varies according to the make of the router - that should also be found in hte manual/CD. Failing that check the website of your routermanufactorer

Sites like these can help you too http://www.microsoft.com/athome/moredon ... setup.mspx
Search Google for wireless network setup or something similar

Wireless routers are usually locked and encrypted, WEP I think. I assume this is your own router. Usually your wireless cards software will tell you info about the router, if it's locaked and encrypted. You'll have to log onto the router, usually with a password or some other code. If you have another wireless computer hooked up to this router you should be able to get all that from the other computers connection properties.
