As for FarCry, there are sooo many sites devoted to it, sooo many people that recruiting members for a mod team in this forum looks rather weird.

Hm, generally, you unpack everything in Half-Lfe folder (making another folder, but usually the archive come with it already). Then the simplest way is to start the game as usually and choose mod from the menu. Unfortunately, I don't remember how that option in a menu is called in Half-Life, haven't ...
