Half Life MOD: How do i play it?

I downloaded the Operation 1942 MOD for Half Life 1 (i already have the Half Life), but i just dont know how to use it (yes, i am a newbie... ). Can anyone teach me how to use it?

Hm, generally, you unpack everything in Half-Lfe folder (making another folder, but usually the archive come with it already). Then the simplest way is to start the game as usually and choose mod from the menu. Unfortunately, I don't remember how that option in a menu is called in Half-Life, haven't been playing any mods for ages other than osp to join quake3 servers=}. But you'll find it easily. The game will restart automatically, and you'll see that the mod works.

Unpack it to the HL dir and make a shortcut with the HL.exe then edit it to point to the mod-dir like this:

C:\...\Half-Life\hl.exe -nameofmoddir

That's it

Thanks everybody for the help. It doesnt appears nothing like Custom Game in the menus, and i tried modifying the direct link, but it didnt worked. May it be that the game v1.0 and ripped?

Why? Just because I'm sure he wants to play the mod quite some times.. and with a shortcut he doesn't have to click custom game crap all the time

The first HL versions don't include the "Custom Game" submenu. Better update to the latest version.. everything will work fine then.

You need to update half life to 1.1.1.0 version (this is the last version for us, the "full demo downloaders" xD

It also fix Opposing Force, it worked for me!
