Re: Cheaters in online games - Activision

Usually if you play a game for some time you can tell if someone's cheater, and even if you can't other people in the game will. Some people are just that good or lucky and spend a lot of time in the game, especially if they exploit just one aspect - long range guns or close quarters, tanks or ...

Re: My private PC Games Collection (250+) titles

Nice collection, but unless those are jewel CDs I'm not sure there will be a lot of buyers for that bunch of games at once. Maybe you could sell it to that video game museum you got in Berlin?

Re: Pocket PC games

Some of the files are exes, which I don't get - does that mean you can install them on a PC? (EDIT: Does this have to do with the fact that the OS on a Microsoft phone is a version of Windows?) Some come with, or simply are, "cab" files, which seems similar to the .obb data files that sometimes ...

Re: Ready-to-use VMs

Thanks for your work, Molitor. I checked out the Windows 95 one. It works pretty good and doesn't leave such a heavy footprint in the system as VMware. I managed to run some problematic games, but also noticed an issue with a VM itself - it won't change screen resolution correctly at program's ...

Re: System Shock Portable (1994 Mods & Addons) - Removed

So, it's some totally unrelated company that had bought the rights for System Shock and coerced (or likely paid) the patch and ports developers to give up their work made for community of fans? So now it could be properly purchased, never mind the fact that nor GOG, neither that trifiddy studios has ...

I think you can play it in Windows XP if you install older quicktime, which comes with the game.

Re: Shadow Warrion Free to Play on STEAM!

Good to hear that, but does the 1997 game without any DRM, but a CD-check (which in part was due to usage of CD-Audio tracks) needs to be reintroduced with another form of DRM 15 years later?

Re: Your first video card?

Noname Geforce MX 32 Mb in 2002. I used family computers before that, but this is one was in my very own PC. Gotta say, it's already sucked back then, since it was a lower end card. I couldn't run some game demos with good speed. I recall playing Morrowind with 10 fps and then buying Radeon 9500 ...

I don't remember the titles, but those two games guys from Access Software worked on, while were employed by Microsoft. I remember one of them had Mark Hamill in.

Re: What's your favorite brand of sneakers?

I like plimsole shoes, converse-type. Goes well with a lot of things. Now looking for something similar, but not so overpriced and low-quality as chuck taylor stuff. I also dislike classic shoes, I find them stiff and uncomfortable in many cases.
