Mech warrior 4

Hi.. having downloaded,unrared and installed the game perfectly it refuses to run. It gets to the splash screen and stops,doesn't lock the machine up or anything,just stops.
amd 64 3000
fx 5200
512 mb

just wait.
works perfectly on my pc (I've a smaller configuration than yours), but I wait about 2 minutes before I can play.
