Hi friends,

finally with my new FX6600GT i can enjoy FarCry with full details and i am absolutely amazed! Oh my god what cool games i missed with my former FX5200!!!GOSH!! ORGEOUS!!!

total amazed and happy...birds flying, M4W sounds...blue sky...ohhh my goodness! Its holiday on Caribbean islands mixed with some *peng* action

Yes, patch 1.33 is installed. I also found a so called "waterfix-patch" but
was not able to download it though, cause the refered page did not store it anymore . Also here is a bundle list of patches and mods. When i find them in some forum i take them over

The waterfix mod would be very interesting cause this is for the water relexions of buildings and everything. I have seen some screens around and its very nice looking! Also the radio and the GoD and Boattrip Mod are
supposed to be impressive.

I´ll keep my eyes open...

I wasn't really impressed with FarCry, sure it does outdoor scenes nicely. But once it got to those mutant monkey enemies and indoor scenes I really felt it went downhill and stopped playing.

edit: pixel shader 3 >_< is that official patch ?

* This patch supports 32 bit only.
* This patch will update versions 1.31 and 1.32 to Far Cry 1.33.
* Far Cry patch 1.33 contains all the fixes found in 1.32.
* Fixed issue with extended characters in players names causing server crashes.
* Included version checking so that only 1.33 clients can connect to 1.33 servers.
* Resolved some online cheating issues.


Patch 1.32 change log

* Fixed a Shader Model 3.0 issue that caused graphics corruption on new ATI hardware.
* Set the game to detect nVidia hardware to avoid shaders being compiled at run time.

I found a great Mod-Skin homepage with most of the obove mentioned mods but its in german and you need to register.I first thought to translate the infos..but hell...there are to many!

I think Farcry is the greatest game ever. Crysis will be even more fun.

I agree with you even though FarCry is 2 years old now but its the fantastic area feeling which really gets me in the mood .

As for the 64bit update, i found the official ubi update note, thats not working with the 32bit systems. So is it possible to push the textures even for 32bit systems using this patch? Any encountered problems.

If you want to upgrade it on win32 use this command in the shortcut to bypass and unpack:
/a
then put/replace unpacked stuff to fc dir, except bin64 dir.
Or search google for packed archive [sorry i forgot where it is]
