buy a swamp disk for ps2 then you don't need a chip , its recommended for ps2 slim

It's way too expensive to buy a console nowadays. You need a good TV(or even HD one, if talking about current consoles), surround speakers to really enjoy the game, plus you need things like second gamepad and other accessories. And games costs a lot comparing to PC and I remember, that it was pain in the arse to find demo-CDs for PSX. In other words: I'm not going to buy any console till third coming!

the mod chip isn't that expensive. it's about 30$ where I live to mod a PS2.

yeah console games are for rich kinds , here one xbox/xbox360/PS3 game cost the same like one powerfull graphic card 8800gt , and a console costs like a high end dualcore intel processor PC with all included even with 20" LCD monitor

oh yeah you can also buy the xbox 360 core or the cheap ass PS3 version but they are shit , in Ps3 Hdd is too small and the core still needs a Hdd + wire less pad+head set

plus the shit that xbox360 has named Live - pay to play net game is crazy and the same crap they want to integrate in every Vista games , sorry then i pass

my PS2 cost me $100 bucks i think it was below $150 not sure

i wanted a X-Box360 but store said they were sold out o_O so i said dam meh nevermind PS2 is better for me XD
