F.E.A.R " Double Pixel " option ?

hi

ive seen that "DOUBLE PIXEL" option in FEAR graphic settings
and now im asking myself all the time what the hell is this option good for ?

when its turned on it looks like the description says..........

the pixels normally shown get reduced by 50%
and the game looks like an old DOS GAME ok it looks better like the old DOS GAMES but it has some kind of old DOS TOUCH

does someone know why they included this option ?
i know i know its a dumb question but i dont get this..........

wheres the sense ?

ok ... relax and image a game made only for a super duper high end computer , now tell me how many would buy it hmmmm none

now image a game that is super duper but made for average PC who would buy it , half the people

now image a game that is a non super duper but made for low end PC who would buy it , all

when you can make a game that is super duper and make it run on a low end PC with 15-14fps those are the standards , then you got a golden cash cow , you only need HYPE around it and you are set

Fear is a cash cow , Sims is a cash cow (low end comp req.) , WorldOFWarcraft {WOW} is a cash cow (again LOW END)

NOW imagine the console market , you buy a console what do you get games that are super duper for the price of a 2 PC games , why so high because they cut off the hardware market that dictated the PC prices for games and the system REQ.

Conclusion :
By adding Low end graphic options such as DOUBLE PIXEL , producers hope that some of the low end market people will buy they game

*super duper is a term used by my daughter when she likes the shiny stuff that i call computer graphics

no not everyone with a high end pc will buy a game that runs even on total low end systems

no no plz dont get me wrong

what i mean is if someone buyed himself a total high end system

the first game he buys wont be an old one with outdated graphics
and not to date system requirements.......

I.E : imagine you buy yourself an ALIENWARE SYSTEM for lets say 3000 dollar i.e with 2 8800 GT`s in SLI MODE
and have 100 dollar left for ONE pc game.......then you wouldnt buy HALF LIFE 2 i.e no you would buy CRYSIS !

thats what i mean

but sure i got the point here
a game that runs on all kind of systems will always have the most users

FEAR sucks so much... I'm trying to forget this lame game all the time.
The graphics is simply very poor, I don't understand people who like this shitty piece of code.

fair enough, but the graphics is still horrible.

Blurry textures and low-poly models - really nice. LOL

I don't really care about graphics, if the game is really good, but FEAR doesn't have any good sides, including gameplay. It's dead, boring, just a waste of your time. But if youl like it, well, tastes differ after all...
