Jazz & Faust crashes

When I start "Jazz & Faust" and press New Game, the game crashes just after the introduction video. Anyone has an idea?

new more input - system , card , etc...

Window XP - SP 2; ATI Radeon Mobile x600.
Already installed the patch and set the configurations to every possible combination - even turning off hardware acceleration....nothing works!

When starting with Jazz, the game crashes after the introduction video, when starting with Faust, the game crashes right away!

ATI Radeon Mobile x600 - your problem , install older graphic drivers
