Windows XP doesn't have DOS.
You can set the drive boot priority from the BIOS settings.

xp has dos for sure.......

"First things first. There is no DOS in Windows XP! What is called the "command prompt" is not really DOS ... it can be thought of as more of a simulation of DOS. Windows XP (and Windows 2000), unlike Windows 95, 98, and ME, are NOT built on an MSDOS foundation. So, while this makes for better speed and stability, it also makes for sometimes lousy backwards compatibility."

i didnt wrote this...... but that is what i tried to say....... unfortuneatly by english isnt that good

doesn't mean you'll be able to run any games through it, it is only provided for recovery purposes.

yeah, i know what you mean. i was being a bit nitpicky :)
but, what i essentially wanted to express is what Narfous said: since it is just a commandline with win32 system, it means it looks like DOS, but there won't run any DOS applications or games in it.

lol yeah, but its not just looking like it......more or less it remains the same

well but commands like " cd.. " chdir"

"dir"...... "C:" "D:" "deltree" "exit" "chkdsk" still exist and work.....

"i.e:

C:WINDOWS/SYSTEM/TEMP32 > cd.. >
C:WINDOWS/SYSTEM/ > cd.. >
C:WINDOWS/ > cd.. >
C:format d:

bla bla"

and well, aslong as you dont...want to format C: drive you can run DOS APPS via the DOS PROMPT......

dont get me wrong its sure most old DOS APPS dont work under XP using the DOS PROMPT and / CMD`s but the reason isnt "DOS" its XP

what im trying to say is that the procedure`s still the same....

like its with win9x

If you want a really fast DOS gaming experience on your computer you could install some flavor of Linux, then use DOSEMU and set that all up yourself
