Best Christmas / Xmas video game?

Post by Talkie »

Ok, maybe tha topic has already been discussed in the past, but..

What is the best Christmas / Xmas video game?
(computer or console)

Or what is the PC or console game with the best scene or reference
to Christmas / Xmas ?

Just curious.

I love Holidays Lemmings!

There's very cool "Merry Christmas" tune starts playing in Crusader: No Regret if it's 25th December. Here's a clip of that on YouTube.

Wow I never played any Silent Hill.

I think the early ID, was it Wolfenstein 3D,
had christmas trees appear on the 25th?
Of course there have been Christmas Mods
since then.

One game I remember I liked many years
ago was Batman Returns for the Sega CD.
The action happens on christmas night
all throughout.

I recall some Apogee games (Rise of the Triad, Tyrian) having special Christmas easter eggs in their art and/or gameplay, when starting them around Christmas time.

Other than that, there's several online RPGs (like Guild Wars) that feature Christmas-oriented festivities like snowball fights and present hunts, which I usually enjoy a lot. :D

And of course, there are some Christmas related shooters too (like NFK: Santas Gone Postal, or some DooM Christmas wads).

Ultimately I must say I come back to Guild Wars because of the events. The Wintersday event is something that really captures the Christmas spirit, even though it's aimed more generally to Wintersday.

Oh, and as a side note: I just noticed VideoLAN Player having s Christmas Icon during this time. Sweet! :P
